auto tranny differences

what are the differences in the 4l60E transmissions from 93-02 (are they interchangeable, do they have any different parts, and will a 3.4 tranny work with a 3.8L)

The 93 did not have the 4L60E trans..it had the 4L60 I believe..94 and up is when they started the 4L60E..As far as interchanging them, I believe it is possible..but I know some things are different for certain years.
