  • In what way did I change my gears ratio?

I went form 215/60/16 to 245/50/60. If my ratio was 3.23 before, what is it now? Is it stiffer if softer?

it didn't change your gear ratio at all.

the two tires are actually the same diameter.
i did the same thing, there is about a half an inch difference in diameter, but that isn't enough to change your gear ratio all that much if any at all.

this will give you a percentage change you can do that to see how you effectively changed your gearing..

one question: do bigger tires = bigger gear ratio?
or do bigger tires = smaller gear ratio?

taller tires give you the effect of a higher gear(numerically lower ration) smaller tires will give the effect of a lower gear (numerically higher)

About 2 percent, so now you're simulating a 3.29 axle ratio.
