  • SPEC Clutches & thoughts about:

Hey there guys, I thought that I'd ask about your experiences w/ the SPEC Clutches.
I'm looking to get one of their stage III clutches for the 3800 SC in my GT, ( not stang, Fiero ) and I wanted to know how they are handling from those that bought and installed them into their Cam-cam and Furbirds.
I’m going to be using a turned 3800 F-Body flywheel so I thought this was a good place to ask.

My take is if it will support a 4,000 RPM launch of a 650 horsepower LS1, it'll be fine behind my ragged L36.

You can get it in carbon, kevlar, or ceramic.

Actually, everyone that I have asked who runs one, says that after initial break-in they feel just like stock, and some have said only slightly stiffer.

Most say that their only change is that they don't idle at redlights with the foot to the floor anymore after a SPEC III, I rarely do that anyways.
