Adds too much to the manufacturing cost of the cover. No significant benefit for the added cost.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

the lack of the drain plug doesn't bother me
now adding diffy fluid, THAT bothers me -- if you ask me adding the new fluid is the b*tch of that job.2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'

you are actually SUPPOSED to change it more often than that, i think 7500 miles, but not many do that. it's a messy job either way you do it, but i agree, filling it is the toughest part.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335

According to the GM Service Manual for my 96, the differential fluid is to be changed after the first 7500 miles, then monitored and topped off as needed thereafter.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

Changing it at 7500 is an excellent thing to do... on a street car every 15,000 or every 30,000 miles from then on is a good amt of time. I do mine every 15K 2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I work at a quick lube type place and we had a small sucker that we used to do the job. I did mine in 10 mins or so and it's not that messy. The sucker connects to an air line and has a "straw-type" adapter and you just put it down the filler hole. The suckers aren't that expensive either.
