• which clutch do i need for a 4000-4500 RPM drop?

i would like to put a clutch that can handle a 4000-4500 drop on all motor with some BFG DR's, i dont need the dual friction cuz i wont ever have that much power, but do you think a centerforce 1 or 2 would do it? centerforce 1 is 30% more and centerforce 2 is 60% more holding power??? thanx

I would get the dual friction. If you're going to swap clutches, get something kickass that will last

You could also go with SPEC clutches. I swapped from a Centerforce Dual Friction to a Stage 3 SPEC clutch. I was very pleased with the Dual Friction, but I like the SPEC more.

I'm happy with me SPEC stage II. I hope it will hold up to a high RPM dump on DRs.

I'd like to try that in the spring, but I don't have any advise for you now.

i was looking at how much HP each clutches will hold, the SPEC stage one will definately hold because it is rated up to 400hp, and technically the centerforce one should hold enough NA, it is rated at 30% more over stock and the stock one prob holds around 180-200, 30% over that is 234-260 but it would prob be smart to do the centerforce II that holds 60% over which is 288-320hp...the reason ill prob be getting the centerforce is because my i can get a really good deal on them from my dad so it will save me lots of money!! later

go with centerforce dual friction, i made the mistake and got a normal clutch and it sucks *** , it starts slipping if there's too much heat due to heavy shifting and makes a damn bad smell too lol

I'd say go with the SPEC II or III, the II would be better suited for N/A launches with DR's. The III can handle slicks. I would personally go with the III just since there isn't much of a price difference and I like firm clutches. My SPEC II is probably 60% lighter than my stock clutch, but it grabs like a mofo. If I would have known what I know now I would definately do a SPEC III.

If u dont have any major upgrades a stage 1 performance clutch will do fine....if you go with a clutch that is overkill it will be a pain in the *** to drive, and could do damage.

Does a SPEC-III have more clutching power than a Dual Friction?

We just put a SPec stage 3 in my friends subaru WRX. His clutch kicks *** . My vote goes for spec stage 3. Even if its a little overkill its better to have too much clutch then not enough. Just make sure you are getting a sprung hub.
