So, how should I go about taking the bearing out though? The new carrier I got off ebay already has bearings on it. And the seller told me that he only put 5000miles on the whole thing(Hope so!). Should I be able to just use that? Is there anyway to test if the bearings are good or now.

The only thing you can do is look for any physical damage to the bearings. Any dents or flat spots at all. The best thing to do would be buy 2 new bearings and take them to a machine shop to be installed.
