99 Camaro, gears/posi trak

[95 Camaro Teen]

Hey, new to this forum, at the time I applied we were lookin at gettin me a 95 Z28 or a 95 with the 3.8. But as of tomorrow and a good check up at the local car mechanic I will be the proud owner of a 99 Camaro 3.8 with a 5 Speed. I've already decided that I want to put a posi in it. Not sure which though...Locking or limited slip. If someone could give me a better understanding of the differences between them and which would be better for street use that would be greatly appreciated.

Nice choice, I have a 99 v6 camaro 5 speed too. I got the Zexel Torsen limited slip differential which works by gears and spins both tires all the time. From what I hear about lockers they lock up at a certain point in the powerband or something (not too sure about them, I've just been told to stay away from em). I also have 4.10 gears which alot of people will say are "excessive for a daily driver" but I think otherwise because this is my daily driver. but if you wanna know what gears are best for you look at this post http://www.camarov6.com/ubb/ultimate...;f=23;t=004207 and it'll tell you what speed at redline and 3krpm youll be at with different ratios.
