    finally the moment and the money [img]smile.gif[/img]
    i just got them installed yesterday, i paid $570 for installation, bearings, gastkets, oil, Etc,the whole installation kit. everything looks normal but this weard sound when i was letting off the gas i think they were whining. i took her back to the shop this morning and she came perfect again [img]smile.gif[/img]
    i'm in the break in period i have 80 miles now mostly highway (60 to 70 miles/Hour) and the mechanic told me to wait until 100 miles so i'll see monday.

      damn dude you should hav shopped around I paid 225 for installation, bearings, gasket, oil. I hate to see people get raped in prices. Remeber there is ALWAYS going to be a better deal with the same quality somewhere else, so do some research. Nice to see u have the gears tho.

        Yeah I only payed 175 for installation everything besides the LSD, reluctor ring, and gears included. But as long as you are happy with the job done then more power to you.

                now they started whining again today :mad:
                my launch is amazing but this sound sucks, and i'm driving a lot to get at my workplace (120 Miles Daily), if i keep driving her would i f***k up the rear end??. i'm calling the shop today anyways

                  Ask them if they put synthetic fluid in your rearend. If not, then that might be the problem.

                    i call the shop today, cause they got my car this morning and they said that it should be okay, they replaced the shim or something like that (no idea) so i'll give her a try again.

                      you should be using stock shims, it wouldnt whine at all. 342's should NEVER whine due to the fact its a stock gear. They should of used a stock shim on the pinoin and stock shims to align the lsd unit itself.

                        tsk tsk so much money and for a job they chinced on. Trust no one, assume the cheapest is the best. but nice to hear ya got it fixed, 3:42's kick *** most worthwhile mod ive done so far.
