well guys since i basically romp my auto camaro daily without much restraint..i figured it would be a good time to get a tranny cooler before i get the jet 2 chip..due to the fact it sets more aggressive shift points.. so anywho..my strategy is usually overkill and this was no exception.. i ordered a B&M racing supercooler.. its pretty big and for your 24,000 pound vechiles and above.. so it would more then do the job here..we had to take the fan off and some of those plastic pieces.. under the car.. which either way we kept off after the install.. useless pieces. the plastice piece over the airbag sensor is off too.. but the cooler fits.. we had to take the fan off to get some room to work with.. after we checked for leaks and the oil level.. i took it for a drive..the tranny is kept very cool and the shifts are crisp..we ran it so it still uses the stock cooler..i got this for 70 bucks shipped to my door from summit.. though it doesnt come with an installation kit due to the fact most of the racing coolers are specially mounted..but i got a haydeon installation kit at pepboys and that worked well also..a nice tidbit is With each 20 degree drop in operating temperature, your oil and equipment life doubles. By reducing your transmission oil temperature as much as 60 degrees, a Hayden transmission oil cooler can greatly extend the life of your transmission."
