  • lsd & gear change swap

    to do a swap from open diffy to lsd & gear change(4.10s baby, nothing else but the best) what all will be needed? do i need a totally new set? like an install kit? [img]graemlins/omg.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/barf.gif[/img]
    1) bearings
    2) shims
    3) spacers
    4) GM limited slip additive
    5) rear end gasket
    etc?

    i would get one..the shims and stuff can get damaged during removal..so i've heard anyway..i havent done one myself

      unless you are going higher then 3.42s, I suggest just getting a used z28 rear.

        my lsd zexel worm gear torsen is sexy and smells good
        i can tell that some of the gears are a little scratched up
        2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

              If you dont know what you are doing, don't mess with the gears yourself.
              Old Car = 12.679 @ 106.5 on 150 dry shot.
              New Car = 2010 3.6l 304hp Camaro

                            its not like we make enough power(stock) for a cover.
                            but it would maybe cool the rear end down?

                            how do you like that garret t70? is it the badest turbo around? i think so, i havent compared it to fff though
