  • High Speed= Weird Sound

I came home from orlando today on 1-4. There's A long stretch with little or no curves and no cars.. perfect! I drop it in 3rd and take it up there. By 5th gear I'm reading 120 on the speedo (gotta be off cuse I have not disabled the gov.) I put it in neutral an coast(stereo off of course) and I hear a sound. Like a stok engine at 3kRpm. Car is at Idle and Reading 119. The sound is coming from the rear. It kinda feels the engine is reving at 3kRpm too, but it's not. Combo of Driveshaf and rearend? Help would be appreciated. Im new and half way retarted(that's my excuse) I've got GoodYeat Eagle GT-HR tires

if the sound only happens when you're coasting, it's probably a pinion bearing, which is in your rear end.

to replace that means you have to get your rear end reset, which is pretty expensive... $200-500 depending on the shop.

That sucks, but I guess it's the price I pay to have a little fun every now and then
