I suggested the 700R4/4L60 in another thread, however I don't think any of the 4L60s came with a removeable bellhousing. I suppose you could have a trans shop swap older-style internals into a newwer case, but I dunno what the logistics of that are...

the 700r4 from the 2.8 is the same bolt patterent but the starters on different sides of the motor!! lol i'm going with the 60E i think
