Ive been looking into new gears for a while and you guys know more about them than i do. so what would be lowest i could go? I drive on the highway quite a bit, and im not done with all my mods yet i plan on doing a little over the winter.
If you guys can help me out it will be great
thanks
95 black 3.8 camaro, Intake, Pacesetters, Flowmaster 80 series, accel plugs and wires, B&M shift kit (eh could be better), hopefully a highflow cat soon. and a bunch of appearance mods.
342s in my opinion. 3.08, 3.42, 3.73, 4.10 is the most common that youll see. dont get 410s just because theyre are the best and people suggest them. yea theyre the quickets for a 1/4 ET, but if you drive the highway some like ido, its not your best option specially if youre car is a daily driver, you need LSD too, keep that in mind.
ok ill keep an eye out for some 3.42s, how would i find out what gears i have now? Ive heard 2.73s..

It just depends on what you plan on using the car for.
Myself? I'm getting 4.10s because I don't even need to drive on the highway to get wherever I am going. Also, I'm looking for the quickest 0-60 and those low gears will really help me get there.
3.42s would work for you if you do a lot of highway driving, but I think you could also get away with using 3.73s if you drive the speed limit on the highway.
i cant find the code on my door....but oh well im going to look into both 342s and 373s.
thanks for the info!

Id say 4.10s but you say lots of highway so I sat 3.73s.
