it runs, sorta HELP: UPDATE: transgo do it your selfers
I am going to put in my kit this weekend and I am wondering how long it took you. Also was there anything else you needed to buy to install the kit onther that that little thingy to reach up into that hole to get that clamp out? Any advice?
DO NOT LOSE THE LITTLE CHECK BALLS!!!!!! Took me about 6 hrs taking my time and triple checking everything. The servo is a ***** to do if the tranny is in the car. I ended up taking the car to the tranny shop and getting them to do it for like $60 b/c the evil snap ring.....Other than that good luck!!!!!!!!! :)

ok we are taking a break after 12 hours of this. ummm after we got the raptor servo in we cannot get the final ring seal in place. how do we do that? the cover just won't go back far enough to get the ring into the groove. also we broke the E clip in the servo. will it still work enough to get around untill I can get a new one? we also cannot find the upper rod for the accumolater body. I am beginning to think that there was no rod in the upper part of it, only the lower part. other than that its ready to go back in and see if it runs. we will resume the battle tomorrow.

And yes, that E clip and the second piston the the servo was a complete pain in the *** to get out. took maybe an hour and a half to get that servo out.

we found the rod we were looking for and lost a bolt so we had to go back to town to get a replacement. that leaves the servo that can cause problems. no E clip and we cannot get the snap ring in so **** it, we are going to put everything back in and give it a try

Wow, sorry to hear about all these problems. Me and a buddy had my car off and back on the ground in 4.5 hours with no problems when doing my transgo/vette servo. That included consuming a 12 pack of coors light and a pizza :D
well I finally got the servo ring in, got a really big crowbar and manhandled it. I guess a spring was cought on something because I heard a slight pop and the servo went in a few more mili meters and I could get the ring in.
However that broken E clip is important. It will do reverse fine, but I can only get second gear and it is very slugesh. I guess I will haft to get one tomorrow and put it in. Can I get one at a parts store or do I need to go to the dealer to get one?

K I got another E clip from NAPA just wationg for it to warn up a little outside.
Oh I almost forgot. there was a bolt I could not figure out where it went. I labeled it when I took it off as commimg from the front passenger side section. The bolt has a bracket around it. Any idea where it goes? I looked for about half an hour and could not find a hoel to put the bolt in. I am stumped.

I got the e clip in and drove it around. runs fine cept it wont up shift above 3000 rpm's with you on the gas. I think it might have something to do with that bolt and bracket that I couldn't figure out where it went.
