v8 or v6 tranny mount??????? help

hi guys, have a quick question. i have a '96 3.8 and i'm about to replace the stock tranny mount. has anyone used the ls1 style mount (PN 22201140)?? if so, is it a direct fit or does it have to be modified? GM shows the tranny mount for the 3.8 as PN 10303747. its about double in price as the 22201140. just wondering if anyone has used the 22201140 and what mods need to be done, if any. thanks in advance

Do you have the chance to compare the parts side by side? I would do that first. It would give you any idea of what you would need to do.

You have to modify the K-member slightly in order to use the LS1 tranny mount. It is very easy. You might consider getting an aftermarket poly mount, they are very cheap!

That would be nice, if they made one that fit right without having to alter it.
