  • I need some help fellas.

    So last night I come out of class and I start the car, try to put it in gear and it wont go in. So I try to force it and it grinds badly. Well fine. I have it towed home.

    Start it up try to take it to the dealership, and the ****ing thing makes noises like scretching noises 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear. 4th sounds fine so Im going and about 1/4 mile later the transmission just locked up. It wouldnt go into gear or anything.

    So I had to push it out of the street and had it towed yet again.

    I just replaced the clutch with a Centerforce D/F, I had a Chevrolet Dealership put it in. They resurfaced the flywheel and replaced the slave cylinder.

    Is my transmission gone? The new clutch only has like 400 miles on it, I havent taken it about 3k rpms.

    Did you ever top-off the clutch fluid? Maybe the slave cylinder dried up and burned out.

          Well it turns out that the input shaft bearing came lose(odly after I hit a 27" tv laying in the middle of the road) and tore all the gears in my transmission up.

                oh ****.. please dotn tell me that when you go to disengage the clutch you feel a snap everytime as if the forks on the pressure plate are giving in?
