  • VSS Leak

I have the 4L60E and lately it's been leaking tranny fluid. I found out my tranny pan bolts were hella loose so I tightened those but I still had a leak. I looked to the rear of the transmission, where the vehicle speed sensor is located, and the plate that holds the sensor, the one held on by one screw, seems to be where it is leaking from even though the bolt is tight. Is there some sort of seal of o-ring behind this? And if so, will tranny fluid come out if I take it off on a level surface (ie lift)?
