easiest way to have a posi

what is the easiest way to have a posi in my 94 firebird? Would it be as simple as taking the internals out and swaping them or just put a whole differnet rear axle in?

cheapest way.. weld the focker..

if this was a year ago, i say slp zexel torsen take off. but other than that, ya, get a limited slip diff. you can find them on ebay

That's not a posi. That would never allow the wheels to slip = not a good idea for street driving.


Easiest way would be ebay or junkyard.

It would be easier and cheaper to swap just the carrier rather than the entire rear.

However often you can find a rear close to you for relatively cheap, and thus gain rear disc brakes and a different gear ratio along with the swap. 6-speed V8's have the 3.42 gears.

I know you're all joking, but it's _not_ cheap.

1. You'll go through tires, real fast.

2. Eventually you'll break something in the drivetrain, like a driveshaft.
