So how the converter acts on the dyno tells us NOTHING about how it will react in the 1/4?

    That blows.

Well then, it appears we need BETTER information on how to choose an appropriate converter. Would anyone like to take a stab at it?

Right now I'm looking at the following ones
    Yank Torque Thruster 3000 (265mm) (STR = 2.5)
    Yank 3000 converter (265mm) (STR = 2.0)
    Super Thruster 3500 (245mm) (STR = 2.5)

How do those 3 stack up? I keep changing my minds between them.

Lastly, should I even bother with a converter if my car will never see a dragradial? ;)

You must have at least a drag radial. Out of those Super Thruster is by far the best.

What if I just want a little peppier feel/performance from the car for street driving? Worth going to a lower level converter or not? If so, which/what features should I look for?

          Thanks,
