GU6 = 3.42 gear ratio, correct?

    GU6 = 3.42 gear ratio, correct?

    I decided to break down the RPO codes on my door the other day, just for fun. To my surprise, i found out that i actually have a rear axle ratio of 3.42. Could this be right? From my understanding, i thought that the only V-6 Camaro with these gears were the ones equipped with the Y87 package.
    I know my Camaro does not have a LSD, but is it possible to have the 3.42s and no LSD in a non-epuipped Y87 V-6 Camaro?

          my moms 01 has the 3.42 ratio i kinda thought it was wierd too.
