I bought my Camaro new with 20 miles on it in February of 2003, and it has about 19,500 on it now. My clutch return spring was probably broken when I bought the car, but I didn't find out until it made really loud noises a couple of days apart and a bushing fell on the floor.
I had the spring replaced, and less than three months and 3,000 miles later it broke again. I had it fixed, and it's been fine until tonight when I was going around a turn coming up the hill to my neighborhood and pushed in the clutch to shift and the spring broke.
I'm going on the fourth spring, and it's getting a little annoying. The first time my car was at the dealer for a week waiting for the part. The second time I asked them to order it in advance, but when I came back to get the car they told me the problem like I didn't know. It turned out the spring didn't come in, requiring another trip and they had to take my dash apart twice for that repair.
Should I just let them replace it again, or do I need to do something else? It was replaced at 13,000 or 14,000 miles last time, so it's probably going to happen again.
