I'm just curious what *should* be replaced in the diff housing while I'm tearing it down and rebuilding it. What should come with my differential besides the unit itself? Anything to look for when I get it? Thanks guys, just looking for general info...
well honestly you shouldn't have to replace anything other than the unit.. that and make sure you have a good torque wrench when you put it all back together.. by the way an install guide with lots of pics is always cool too.. :D
pics are a good thing..

If all else fails use a bigger hammer!
All that will come is the posi carrier unit. Pull out the open, slap in the lim-slip. No need to change bearings, I wouldn't think.

I was going to ask the same question... Cardy beat me to it!
Anyways.. I'll obviously need to be replacing the diff fluid. What's a good synthetic to use? Will I need limitted slip additive? What about this "abs reluctor ring" that somebody always seems to mention in a thread like this.. what is it and where do I get it (if I actually need it)?

The reulctor ring can be re-used. There are fluids with "additive" already added.

If it's the same series differential then you can reuse the reluctor wheel. You can't reuse the rings bolts. It will come with its own bearings so those will not be reused. If it's a torsen then you don't need an additive. You might need some shims.
