Ok, i know everyone wants a hard shift outta their tranny, but mine is terrible, coming out of first it hits hard like the n goes way down... seems to happen after it gets hot... Any ideas? its auto on a 2001 Camaro... I also have a SES light, but i think thats because of a bad temp sensor on the airbox.. please help... thanks

I think this is the same problem i have. When my car is cold(sitting over night or a few hours in the cold weather) my tranny will shift hard, but then it seems as my car warms up, it goes away, it only does it in first gear. Ive never had my SES light come on though. My tranny also does that. When I beat on it on the highway for 2 hours then drive on the street. Whenever I stop and go from 1st to 2nd, it feels like someone rear ended me. This only happens under light throttle. Same if I shift from reverse into 1st. Horrible. Only when hot though. I'm getting a new trans and I'll look into this one and see what's broke. My trans is throwing codes though. 3-4 clutch pack has been bad for 4 years. Who knows what else. I was so close to getting rebuilds many times. Finally my misery can end.Comment

Mine is total opposite, it is hesitating before shifting like do I want to shift, yeeeeeeeessssss.........
