I thought that package on tesas-speed included a differential but it doesnt. Should i try to find one out of a z28 at a junkyard, get a whole z28 rear end, or get a new differential and gears offline somwhere and if so where? thanks for the help i am trying to get this done by new years.

Nice thing about swapping for a manual V8 rear is you get limited-slip, disc brakes and 3.42's all in one shot.
If the car was 98+ there wouldn't be the need to swap the whole rear. Aside from all the internals being newer (and less chance of in need of replacement) they already have disc brakes.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips

I just went to the local salvage yard and he called everyone and cheapest he could get was 650. I am not paying 650 for a z rear end so i guess i will have to find one somewhere else, maybe ebay.1996 Camaro -- SLP CAI, Motorvator TB spacer, MSD 8.5 mm wires, 180 thermostat, Pacesetter headers, Catco 3 in cat, TSP Rumbler, custom painted interior, 18x9.5 Z06 replica wheels, Nexen N3000 265/35r18 tires, - Best 1/4 mile 15.3@89mph

Yes you could do that. Bt you'll likely want to replace th bearings and seals while you're in there, as with time they wear out. But yes, as long as the gears are for a series 3 carrier, they'd work www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!
