That $30 kit isn't actually a shift kit. It's the B&M "Shift plus", or Shift+. It's an electronic gadget that you hook up to the transmission and it will try to firm up the shift by manipulating just the electric selonoid pressures in the transmission. I'm not keen on it. Have heard stories of it destroying transmissions, though there are others who use it and have had no problems. Personally I would opt for the "real" (mechanical) TransGo, but I would also beef up the transmission components. But then again, I'm planning on doing that anyway since I'm going to need some tranny work done I think...

      don't really need either

the b&m shift+, as racerj stated, increases firmness by modifying the signals to the solenoids.

The transgo firms up shifts by increasing tranny fluid pressure.

Your not going to see much gain in ET from either, and in my opinion, the extra stress on the tranny isn't worth it. If, however, I had to chose one, I would definitely put in the transgo. It is safer than the B&M, which tends to fry electronics.
