B&M Ripper

Hurst does not make the Pro 5.0 shifter.

I recommend the Pro 5.0 because it shifts firmer than the B&M Ripper in my opinion. Very crisp and precise. And yes, I have tried both. Now don't get me wrong, the B&M Ripper is an awesome shifter too. The Pro 5.0 was just my personal preference but any of the two will not disappoint.

I installed the Pro 5.0 myself and it was pretty easy. Takes about an hour to two hours depending how fast you can take your center console apart.

...click, click, click...that's the sound of the 5.0 when you shift. No car should be without a good shifter. :D

Ok, flip a coin and decide. Because #1 anything is WAY better than stock, and honestly, you wont know what you like better until you try it yourself. But the truth is you will like any of these over stock. so just bite the bullet and get one of em. =)

Not exactly a click but more of a knock when you shift. You can tell when you get the gear. Also a thing 2 lean you towards B&M its the cheapest one out of the 4.

My ripper makes a sort of clicking sound when it's in neutral and I "jiggle" it back and forth from left to right. It is loud and you can hear it outside the car, say in the next lane if the window of another car is down.

I've had a Ripper in my car for about 4 months or so now, and I really enjoy it. Shifting is much more firm & precise, and the throws are much shorter than stock. The only big deal with the Ripper is that you cannot mount a Lou's Short stick to it....then again, you can always chop a few inches off the top of the Ripper's stick.

I had the B&M for several days before I sent it back for the Hurst and I tell you..... I like the feel of the Hurst more than I did the B&M. Not to mention, the ability to add a short stick to the Hurst... which I'm VERY happy with! :D
The Hurst has more of a "positive" click to the shifts with the ability to adjust the tension of the shifts, unlike the B&M.

Just my $.02 from someone who has used both! :razz:

I've never tried the Pro 5.0 but if someone wants to loan me one...... ;)

Any of the aftermarket shifters are better than stock, so you're a winner with either one! :D
