i've found this zexel-torsen diferential in slponline web site, part number:64501T for 84.95$
plus 11.95 shipping. i do have 3.08 gears, and i'm thinking to upgrade next time to 3.42 but for now i need to know if this diferential it's going to fit on my car with 3.08, and if i'm going to need to change anything else besides the diferential.

The speedometer will be way off. Also, you might want to think of limited slip differential to put power to the ground more efficiently, since you are going to be back there anyway.

The differential he is referring to is a LSD.

It will fit on your car, but you'll need to upgrade your gears, 3.08 won't work. 3.42s are pretty good. Refer to http://www.camarov6.com/ubb/ultimate...c&f=1&t=004531 for more information.

You'll need a new carrier (Series 3) if you go to 3.42's, the ABS reluctor ring, the 3.42 ring & pinion itself, and the LSD for the upgrade. If you just want the LSD, you can buy it, get it installed, and be done with it. As for the speedo issue, it would be a good idea to get it corrected. An HPP3 would be a good way to do this (can't recall if there's one for the '99 year or not). You can also go w/SLP's speedo recalibration kit (it's almost $200), or you can get your PCM re-flashed for a vehicle with 3.42's.
