I have a 98 Bird with the W68 package and inside the drivers door I have GU4 which i believe means I have 3.08 gears with an open rear.
Can I put posi or something in the rear so I cna get both tires to spin? and wouldnt that give a better luanch if the tires werent to spin also?
I just would like the leave 2 black marks when doing club burn outs

You can upgrade to limited slip differential. Like posi, but better. Your gonna need a series 3 carrier, so upgrade your gears too. A popular choice for us automatics are 3.42. You can get the zexel torsen diff. from slponline.com for around a hundred bucks. To get a lot more info, do searches on LSD, 3.42, 3.23, (3.73 don't get these unless you're not planning on driving on the highway). Also, go to the modifications encyclopedia and read up on gears and differentials. That's where I started. We have an excellent mods ency. :D

I have 3:08 open rear and I have floored it and it doesent spin them, I see no need for one, the only time it really gets spining is if I accelerate around a turn. I manely wanted the Y87 for the LSD because of driving on snow and geting better traction.
