ugh, 12 hours for something that easy is nuts! i swear, the actual swap was easy (i went from 3.08/open to 3.42/lsd) it was trying to find the right parts nearby, finding someone to pull a bearing off to get to the pinion shim, which we never did find, since noone sells them, the trying to get the axle block to fit. that last part took about 4hrs of filing and hammering and cursing, then we find out that the passenger side axle gear is sticking out a little too much and locking up the worm gears, no wonder the block wouldn't fit! we started at 12pm and finally finished around midnight and except for those two setbacks, everything was a breeze. backlash was perfect, didn't need to make any adjustments once everything went together. i haven't gotten on it yet to feel the difference, but just cruising around it feels like it accelerates a lot quicker. gonna see what the timeslips say thursday, hopefully somewhere b/w 9.7 and 9.5 on the 1/8.

nice work there Jepe..make sure you treat them easy for a few miles..like 150-200 then thrash them ;) ..im serious about that though..i know someone who did not break in there 4.10's and then one day on the road they just seezed up..not good new for him..

o well..good luck with the gears..

feels nice doesn't it? which carrier did you go with. my rear ABS doesn't work with the one I had to use, which isn't that bad, but i'd like to get it fixed eventually.

my rear abs doesn't work either, guess it isn't something i did wrong. i think we actually need to get a different reluctor ring.

i still haven't gotten on it yet, i want to make sure everything is broken in and that i did it all right before i try to thrash it.

ya we need some type of new reluctor ring...

ive romped on it a couple times, but ive already put about 600 miles on it since friday, lol :D Donuts are a whole new experience now....doing donuts with only one wheel spinning felt uncomfortable, now it just glides ;)
