A few months ago, while I was up in NC driving through the mountains, my tranny started making some gawd aweful noises when I pressed in the clutch. It sounded very similar to when my clutch went out. It was like a rattling noise that only happend when the clutch was engaged, the pedal was pressed. It went away when it was in gear and in neutral and it only happened twice, and hasn't happened since then. When it happened the first time I stopped and looked underneath my car to see if anything was loose. The second time it happened I was stopped at a light, I sped up and was gonna pull over, but by the time I got to the next light, it stopped doing it. Both times, the car had been running for several hours, a good 6-7 hours of highway/moutain driving. IT also hasn't done it since then. Does anyone know what it could have been. The clutch is fine, it grabs perfectly and only has about 30k on it.
