  • Will A Centerforce Wear Out My Tranny?

    I did a search and couldn't find anything on this.
    When I put my new engine in, I'm gonna upgrade to a Centerforce clutch, but I was told by several different people that it's way to hard on the transmission and will cause it to go out alot sooner. I know it's a little harder, but is it that bad for it? I have 117k miles on mine right now.

    The torque of the engine will make the tranny go out faster. Not the clutch (in of itself) That and how you run the car. In general if you run hard, it will break down sooner.
