Should I keep my A4 and put in a TransGo and a stall? Or should I convert to a manual tranny? See, I am financing my car and I am worrying about losing my extended warranty along with GAP insurance(covers the gap of payoff-value in a loss). Do you think my warranty will be void if I convert over?

By the way, I would have all the parts and a mechanic to help me convert. I am just worried about the logistics of converting or staying...

man if you got Y87 I'd just go with a shift kit.. converting to manual will almost certainly cause you to lose your warranty..

Agreed
A M5 conversion will be a real PITA, and it'll cost quite a bit.

Can you put in a Transgo shift kit without reflashing the PCM?

It just depends on how badly you want a manual. If you don't care a whole lot and think the auto is fine, and when I had one I didnt mind it too much, just soup it up and make it a good dragracer

If you want the manual, get it. It can be and has been done.

Its not the part of actually converting the car into a manual that bothers me...its LOSING MY WARRANTY. I have GAP insurance and that is the only reason I bought the extended warranty is for the GAP insurance and it is for 100,000 miles and my car only has 32,000. Plus in case I do something stupid and blow my motor, I can put all the stock parts back on it and they will replace it.

I think I'd stay with the auto. Shifting is nice and i prefer it over the auto, but since you already payed or the warranty there is no reason to throw money away.
