I have a 1998 3.8 camaro and would like to swap out the A4 and put in a manual. How much would it cost to perform and how big a pain in the you know what would it be. Any help?

I tried a search all I got was a lot of engine swaps and some people that were trying to put
t-56's or t-5's or autos in. It didn't realy help that much. I was just trying to find out if anyone had done the swap and could steer me in the right direction. I will try agin. I live about 30 miles sout of cleveland and about 1 mile from KentState univesity. Thats prob only 2 hours away from you To spray or not to spray is never the question.

It has been done before..
Are you planning on doing it yourself, or having a mechanic put it in? That will be the difference in price..
Depending on how good of deal you get on the trans, clutch, etc..I'd say if you did it yourself you're looking around $500 for the parts at a good price.
I'd imagine you would run into some problems on the way, but that pretty much happens in every big project.
