• SLP Calibrator

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone may know about this...I have a '99 Camaro w/3.73 ratio gears and I'm trying to install the SLP calibrator. I hooked up all the wires correctly and played with the test dip switches per the instructions. I got the red test light to come on but when setting the 2 & 3 switches to on, the speedometer should go to 110mph and then peg itself respectively. That never happened. Also, there are 2 green lights on the calibrator ..output and input light. The output light turned green but the input light never came on at all.

    Anyone have these problems before?

    Thanks

You are out of luck. SLP calibrators do not work. I have tried to argue this fact with them, but they claim that mine worked fine on the bench. I explained to them that it would test fine but wouldn't give any indication while driving. They asked if I had a good ground. WTF? I work on 30+ million dollar aircraft; I think I would know how to wire up a 4 wire system. I still haven't recieved money back or any kind of reimbersement from them. They still have the "calibrator". They've had it for 2.5 months now.

SLP Can suck my B@lls before I ever support their company again.

It's a problem with the 3.8L's. The calibrator kills the pcm signal.
