Yeah, otherwise you'll run at higher rpms all the time, and probably ruin that tranny pretty quickly. I think there are some guys on the board with non-lockups though.

My only issue is they have a low torque multiplication factor.
Sure effeciency is up but.......
I run a 3200, 2.8 mult and 95.5 - 96% effeciency.
Typically I see 2.2 or 2.3
Any reason why?

Please give us a chance to get some numbers at the track. Few, if any of us guys with the Edge Racing converters have your experience at the track, so it's gonna take us awhile.

Oh, I agree it DOES take a decent amount of track time to learn the converter.

I'll admit, I'm probably still learning for n/a runs w/ the converter and nitorus runs, well, I just spin

You could be only seeing 2.3 or so because when yank or PI build a converter for us they dont do as much reasearch on our motor and TQ curve, also buy lowering gears and porting the heads and intanks you have changed and raised your TQ curve.

Well, I understand what you are saying but when I called Yank I explained my situation.
I told them I had a 12 second v6 powered nitrous car.
At the time I was running 12.8 with a best of 1.731 60 ft on a stock converter.
I gave them dyno numbers (peak hp, tq, n/a and nitrous etc) tire height, gear ratio, vehicle weight, what I want from it, nitrous was primary goals, n/a was secondary.

I told them I am looking for the best thing I could possibly get.

I explained that I was one of the quicker v6's out there (4th gen f body) and I had been contacted by a magazine at that time.

It took 1 day to make.

I explained I did not want a generic LT1 version.

I have a nitrous converter

Eh, I dunno. I don't want my post to come off as a bash Edge.
This is a new converter for 1/2 the price of what I paid.
The proof will be in 1/4 et's, mph's, 60's and dyno numbers BEFORE and AFTER the converter
