First off what the f%$k is the difference between these and which one is recomended for a daily driver. Also do we have the 7.5 or 8.5 10 bolt, I'm just trying to do gears and some sort of positraction but would like to know the difference between all of these things and some brand preference.

locker is great for drag racing. equal power to both tires. problem is, if u corner in it, it clicks like crazy and might get annoying.
posi uses clutches inside the differential to tie both rear wheels together. when cornering, the clutch bands wwear some, so they have to be replaced every once in a while and use special gear lube to make them last.
LSD uses gears inside the housing to tie both rear wheels together. when turning, gears inside the gears turn at different speeds to keep traction.
locker is mroe for drag, lsd is mroe for road race, and posi is more balanced but wears out. they also combine lsd and posi units to get more drag racing performance out of them and to help them handle higher hp numbers.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
