thats why you change all you fluids yourself... if you changed you tranny fluid you would know fo sure whether it was changed or not. dont trust some shop when you a young kid bings in a good looking car, the thrive on that.
its a good idea to just keep track of these things. last time i had the oil changed in the truck they said i needed to have the cooling system flushed. of course i asked 'why?' -- he showed my the fluid and said "its yellow -- i have never seen fluid that color. it needs changed". if he had a clue he would have noticed my nice new radiator and hoses. i replaced it the previous month (those plastic ends caps just dont last past 10 years or so) and back flushed the system completely. the fluid was clear yellow-green -- no dirt -- no rust. i declined, and he mumbled about how he has never seen fluid that color and how i was going to cause damage. its a scam. did i mention that every time i go in i need to have my differential fluid changed?
