Understeer & ride not as bad as I expected, but glad I will have a chance to break it in and get used to it on dry pavement. You can definitely feel the "kick in the pants" sensation when it locks while rolling. Say you are coming out of a turn and you get on it, the inside wheel is driving but as soon as it straightens out the synchros will lock and bam! you are two wheel pulling. I know this unit isn't real popular here but it is supposedly damn near indestructible - and I have two nice little piles of powdered rubber outside my door at work where I stood on the brake and smoked em up. :D

I have the one they call the "No-Slip", they also make a "Lock Right" locker. I'm not sure, but I think that one ratchets in the turns. Yours isn't locking back up coming out of turns? I assume you know you aren't locked on the highway by dumping the clutch and breaking one side or ?? The installer and I both drove it and this one is locking back up after coming out of a turn - you can feel it. I got it from Summit and had my speed shop do the install - 2 hours total. With the 3.42s this little A4 really wants to pull. It's running nice right now (knock knock).\'01 Camaro Vert ~ Black on Teal (but Mean Green in the sun)

hey - articacid, I was in Pitt during the Patriots game week. Stayed out in W. Mifflin, drove in through the Pitt campus every day (nice coeds). I guess you didn't see a teal vert driving the wrong way through your streets? Between the one-ways and the closed tunnels it will be awhile before I try that again (but it was still better than driving in Boston) \'01 Camaro Vert ~ Black on Teal (but Mean Green in the sun)

You're really better off with an Eaton Posi for the street/track use. You'll get the same amount of lockup too.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I read your website write-up Dominic, after the gear guy recommended the Richmond, which I was unfamiliar with. When I went back, I brought up the driveability issues you educated me about (thanks). He said it was a tradeoff - his specialty is gear setups and he has changed enough burnt clutch LSDs that he doesn't recommend them for year round daily drivers here in New England.\'01 Camaro Vert ~ Black on Teal (but Mean Green in the sun)
