  • Hurst Short Throw Shifter

Just got done installing it the other day and all i have to say is dayum. This thing is amazing. Definatley one of my favorite mods for the money.

I matched it with a WS6 Store Short Stick and the throws are so short and precise. The shifter feels so much more solid than stock. I dont feel like i am going to crack my console by ripping into 2nd anymore. I have a couple pictures to show the difference and install.

If you have an M5 i would put this next on any mod list of you havent done it already.

haha i will and yeah it was surprisingly easy. My friend has a civic si and he had to jack the car up and was a lot harder apparently. i wasnt there but thats what he was telling me after i told him it took me 45 minutes to install my sts.

i have the hurst billet plus and lou's short stick in mine, its great and shifts feel so much better. second gear doesn't seem to engage fully though. i mean it will go in and drive, but it doesn't feel like it goes in far enough and it likes to pop out very easy.

Sounds like you need to adjust it a bit. I had my adjusting fun yesterday I'm getting a short stick for it soon.

There isnt any difference just I bought my shifter used also and the dude didnt send me the shifter handle bolts so I had to find some bolt that I could use.. then I figured since it was used that the bump stops would be already set but after I put everything back into the car and bolted everything in I took it for a ride and it wouldnt go into 2,4,or 6 because the bump stop was to close to the shifter.. So I had to take everything out again and adjust the stops.. Just a pain in the butt.. I know now dont put everything back together untill you take it out for a test drive.. I miss my V6.. it was so much easier to work on.. Doing plugs on a LS1 with stock manifolds suck.. 3 hrs..
