All 4th gen drivesahfts work, alot of 3rd gen ones fit too... But i would stick with 4th gen ones.

yeah you will see more gains...

      goes
      2 piece
      lt1 1 piece steel
      ls1 1 piece aluminum
      Carbon fiber 1 piece

dont put a car on ramps when you remove a drive shaft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

          think about it.

use jack stands on the frame. you only need one jack stand to get under the car anyway. block the front tires on the front and the back.

Heh, well just don't rely on the car's transmission to hold it stationary while you crawl underneath and pull out the driveshaft. You must use the emergency brake to keep the car from moving.

Dont do it on ramps. unless you drive backwards up the ramp.. if the front is lifted you will leak tranny fluid out the tailshaft... Big Mess.. i would just jack it up by the diff, then put some jackstands under the body get the rear off the ground and go from there

eric i found a shaft and asked if the yoke and u-joints are included and he responded with this - "Hi the yoke and front u joint are included. The rear is there but missing the caps. The year car I'm not sure of.Thanks,Scott"

                      what does that mean ?

On the link that NOS posted, it's missing the rear caps, so you're probably looking at a new U-joint for the rear. They're not too difficult to replace, if they're the factory joints you need a propane torch and a BFH. If they've been replaced once already they probably have clips and you wouldn't need the torch.

They normally don't need rebalanced unless one or more of the weights have been knocked or flown off. On the steel shafts I think they're usually tacked on but my aluminum shaft it looks like they were epoxied.
