dont put a car on ramps when you remove a drive shaft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
think about it.
use jack stands on the frame. you only need one jack stand to get under the car anyway. block the front tires on the front and the back.

Heh, well just don't rely on the car's transmission to hold it stationary while you crawl underneath and pull out the driveshaft. You must use the emergency brake to keep the car from moving.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips

Dont do it on ramps. unless you drive backwards up the ramp.. if the front is lifted you will leak tranny fluid out the tailshaft... Big Mess.. i would just jack it up by the diff, then put some jackstands under the body get the rear off the ground and go from there

On the link that NOS posted, it's missing the rear caps, so you're probably looking at a new U-joint for the rear. They're not too difficult to replace, if they're the factory joints you need a propane torch and a BFH. If they've been replaced once already they probably have clips and you wouldn't need the torch.
They normally don't need rebalanced unless one or more of the weights have been knocked or flown off. On the steel shafts I think they're usually tacked on but my aluminum shaft it looks like they were epoxied.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips
