I'd get the HP Tuners. I have the TSP tuning for my car and it made a decent difference, and I have only bolt-on's and a torque converter. The tuner will keep your speedo correct for when you do get the new gears.

i say get gears/lsd (200) and get the tsp tune (275) and get your brother to give you a better deal.
