  • where can i get a zexel!! or lsd

    i am interested in a zexel torsen lsd and have been looking on ebay and cannot find one!! i need a zezel, 3.73 motive gears, and a tune correct?? would that be all i nead for my whole rear gear swap!! abesides the install kit, also i have a 98 firebird with 3 08's

        You'll also need a new ABS reluctor ring, which can be had from SLP.

            Yep. That's an Auburn but it would work. Only thing that would scare me is that is was in a fire with visible burns.

                  Yes, that's a Torsen. Yes, it'll take 3.73s. That one comes with the ABS reluctor ring. Will be interesting to see what the price gets up to in the next 6 days.

                          i ended up getting my zexel plus 3.42's off ebay back in the day for a total of 150. that was used of course.

                          you would probably be better off finding a full axle setup unless you plan on doing the install yourself, since the labor isnt exactly cheap, and you'd need to get an install kit (probably from the installer) plus the abs ring. the abs ring retains the function of your abs. you can find one on www.slponline.com or probably thunderracing. ill try to find a link for you.

                          as far as the install goes, its not hard, but you need to know how to set the backlash. if you dont have anyone there to show you how to do it, you'll probably have some issues with it.
