  • Hey Dom

    Hey Man,
I did what you said and went over to LS1tech. A lot of people are having problems w/ the converter chattering/shuttering. One guy recommended that I use
    http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/trans_atf.html

The chatter/shutter is still there but its A LOT better than before. It doesn't happen as frequent. I've only driven on it for like 55 miles. I heard that it works its best when you drive for about 200 miles and just keep locking/unlocking the converter.

If that doesnt work, I'm thinking about throwing this in...

    Thanks again

Good to hear! I didn't know that stuff actually worked. The first lube sounds like it's for transmissions in general. Did anything improve like they advertized, like shifts? I'll make a post about this on oil forums to see what exactly is in there. Good luck and thanks for posting the links.

I havent noticed the shifts because I was just focusing on the chatter.

Let me know what everyone says about it and if I should add in that 2nd additive to it also.

the only additive i have ever used was seafoam trans-tune. this was in my mopar a518. putting the trans in reverse would hum. levels were right and i changed the fluid to no avail. adding about 1/2 the recomended dose cured the 'problem'. i suspect i wasnt getting enough pressure on one of the valves.

i would not normally use additives, but with 116k miles on the tranny its probably going to need a rebuild sooner or later anyway.

That should shed some light on it.
