i finally got the chance to lift my car up and check out my rear wheels after my Zexel Torsen LSD install 2-3 months ago... when i spun the driver's side wheel i was curious as to why that wheel only spun while the other stayed still? i thought both wheels were supposed to spin forward or is that only for true posi's? I went over to the other wheel on the passenger side and when i spun that, both wheels went in opposite directions like a open rear, weird, did i mess up this install or is this what a LSD should do?

man i feel like my open differential is still there at times, i'm still spinning at like 2000-2500 rpms on the street tires with 245's... is the zexel a cheapy differential or am i just launching too hard?Red 1996 Firebird 5-speed:
-Zexel-Torsen LSD, SLP CAI, B&B TriFlow Exhaust, 1LE Aluminum Driveshaft, 1LE LCA\'s, 160 Degree Thermostat, SLP Manual Fan Switch, B&M Ripper Shifter, 245/50/16 Kuhmo Ecsta Supras and lots of Zaino
White 1990 5.0L Camaro IROC-Z:
-Flowmaster Muffler, NGK\'s/Taylors
-SOLD

your tires suck.
you may want to put it back up on stands and spin the rear tires again, if you can spin them hard enough, one will spin one direction and the other will spin the opposite direction. It's the street also. Sometimes I would dead hook. Other times I would roll into top of 1st and then punch it at like 20mph and break the tires loose. Kumhos aren't the greatest either.

man i guess i should also play with my tire pressures as well-- i thought 245's were good enuf for our cars but i can't stop spinningRed 1996 Firebird 5-speed:
-Zexel-Torsen LSD, SLP CAI, B&B TriFlow Exhaust, 1LE Aluminum Driveshaft, 1LE LCA\'s, 160 Degree Thermostat, SLP Manual Fan Switch, B&M Ripper Shifter, 245/50/16 Kuhmo Ecsta Supras and lots of Zaino
White 1990 5.0L Camaro IROC-Z:
-Flowmaster Muffler, NGK\'s/Taylors
-SOLD

the wider the tire, the better traction you'll get. also, 245-50 tires have about 1/2 inch less sidewall than 235-55 or 255-50 tires, and sidewall helps straightline traction as well. also, the surface you're driving on makes a big difference as well. The torsen is a good differential, as long as you're not putting more than 650 ft. lbs. to it. I usually need to heat my kumho's a bit before I get good traction.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
