  • Can't get my tranny out top 2-bolts

I can't get to the 2 top bolts on top my automatic tranny on my 99 firebird v6. Does anyone know any tricks to get to these bolts. I'd hate to tow it in when all I need it 2 bolts to complete my swap

    Thanks

Use like 2-3 feet of extensions to get the wrench straight onto the bolt from far back.

I was using alot of extensions, but I couldn't get my socket square on the bolt so I would slip off.

Lift the engine from the front to have more room + 3ft extention

Yep the wrench will be back near the shifter.

BTW matt, like 2 days after I did the tranny, I bought some cheap packs of extensions for 1/4, 3/8s, and 1/2 drive. And few prybars.
