  • help!!!problems after clutch install, continued

after i changed out my clutch and rear main seal, as stated earlier, i began to have unexplained problems. i thought that the problem was that i had not used 1/2 inch of spacers with the new poly mount. i have done this now, and the car still runs rough and will stall out when coming to a stop. not every time, just occasionally. also the car seems to be running rough while driving at a constant speed. all sensors have been checked, seems that they are all connected. i need to be in new york for thanksgiving, but i am nervous about driving her, like this. i know the mount will cause vibrations untill its broke in, but this dosent seem right. any help or advice on would be greatly appreciated.

Car runs rough? Have you checked for vac. leaks? I know if you pulled the tranny to change the clutch, maybe the engine rocked back some. There is a vac. line elbow on the back up the upper intake. I broke this off when i put my engine back in.

But running rough with no codes might be a vac. leak somewhere.

checked vac lines, the unit above the passenger side valve cover, attached to fuel rail, has what seems to be a fuel line coming in though the top, a electrical connector on the side and a rubber elbow on the bottom that appers to be the connector for a vac line, i have felt around the back of the motor and intake as best as i can and cannot find any loose lines. i checked the pcm for codes, and surprise i found one.....PO102-MAF or VAF A Circuit Low Input could this be causing the car to should down or to (for lack of a better term)"hiccup" while at speed?

Yes it could. I would ALWAYS recommend clearing (solving) any SES lights before chasing phantom problems.
You will be surprised how many weird problems are solved by simply finding out why the SES light is on, and fixing it.
