A year ago there was no tuning available, and people still got gear swaps. Not getting it tuned now will not hurt anything, you just won't benefit as much. ;)

u can get a hypertech, like i did but i dont have different gears yet... :( you can also go to a dealer and get them to flash your pcm with a different VIN number (one with 3.42's, that would be a y87 car)

well actually i might need to buy one, because if i change back to snow tires every winter... whats the deal with telling it your tire size? what kind of difference does it make?

if you change the size of your tires, your speedometer will be off as well as shift points because with smaller tires, the computer sees the equivelent of a shorter gear ratio, and with larger tires, a taller gear ratio (correct me if im wrong/backwards), but your computer will still shift like you have all stock tires/gears, so therefore will be off, but probably by a small margin. If your snow tires are OEM size, then you are ok, but if they arent...well, thats why i like texas
