What clutch should i get if i am going to do a turbo upgrade..and what one should i get if i am just going to do the basics and some nitrous?
How much do shop normally charge for the install? How hard is it, cause i work at a shop and we have alot of good people there that can figure stuff out, but should i take it to a pro?
2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.
if you plan on going big.. get a spec 3. you shouldnt need anymore than that. streetability takes time to conquor but after time its worth it. I had it professionally installed but got a hella deal for it. Just look around. Great clutch i recommend it.
to install it yourself your gonna need a new pilot bearing, and if your slave leaks anything whatsoever just replace it your better off. Just make sure that when your installing the flywheel, make sure you clean it real well with break parts cleaner. you dont want the oil on your fingers to get in the way of anything. thats pretty much all there is to it really its strait forward. i only had someone do it because i didnt wan to do it on my back

I just did a Spec 3 install and the clutch works great. The install is not too bad. I took the flywheel and had it turned to make sure it was true. It does take a while to get use to and even then, you sometimes get some chatter but nothing to bad. I made one N/A run at the track with it and it worked fine. I have not been able to get a 100 shot run at the track with it but a little testing on the road and it held fine with the 100 shot. It is good for up to 680 hp (should be good until I do the jet engine install).
