wasted my money at the dealership on nothing

Ok ive read on here that the dealership can recalibrate my speedo due to gear ratio upgrade.
Well they said they were going to have to see if they could and it was going to cost me $81.29. So i said ok "thinking yes it could". Wrong wasted money on nothing cuz they needed a CIV or VCI # cant remember what he said. So now does anyone know what texas speed charges and what else i can do with my EMC while it their??
